But in the end he was the one who was ambushed after passing Mbappe (37). His return from the locker room was not the most exciting, but it was he who launched the Parisian awakening with a fine penetration (64) before providing a superb pass to Mbappe (69). It ended better, with donuts that deserved a better fate.

• In short: squander before caviar.

Kylian Mbappe: 6

He started with two massive chances, missed in two unnecessary dribbles in these duels against the goalkeeper (2, 11). Two mistakes that nicely illustrate a match where he would have missed a lot, like his attacking friends. He often stops, rarely with the right rhythm, but opens the game on his own: first in this elegant sequence he offers Messi’s equalizer (37) and then on his own after the Argentine gives him the same (68).

• In short: very disappointing but very crucial.

Neymar: 5

In short: it will probably be his worst game of the season so far.
