Game news PlayStation Plus: The best PS5 and PS4 games for December 2022

After a particularly generous month of November, PlayStation Plus Essential, the most affordable version of the PS+ software, is back with an even sweeter month than December. In the program, a total of three games, including a great selection.

Once again, the rumors about “free” PlayStation Plus Essential games were true. In less than a week, starting Tuesday, December 6, around 5 p.m., players will already be able to pick up a total of three additional games: We’re starting with Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, a great set. We can also count on Biomutant and a new little surprise, Divine Knockout.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (PS4 / PS5)

Unsurprisingly, we’re kicking off with the bulk of December’s PlayStation Plus Essential, as we mentioned Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. In fact, the title with a score of 17 out of 20 in our columns that brings together the three adventures of the Mass Effect trilogy plus a total of 40 DLC, will be available to all PlayStation Plus players from the following December 6. These remastered versions of Mass Effect first from the name, but also from Mass Effect 2 and 3, allow you to relive the adventures of Commander Shepard in the best possible conditions. Everything is already playable in 4K, offering improved textures as well as better gameplay comfort. Note in particular that the gameplay in First Opus has been reworked from top to bottom to bring it up again.

Biomutant (PS4/PS5)

We continue to produce another more than welcome, because this time has come Biomutant ! Yes, it’s one of our favorites of 2021 that comes on PS+. In this open-world Action-RPG that gives freedom of discovery, the player embodies an unparalleled anthropomorphic animal who does not know how to make fists talk like powder. Even before the game begins, it is already promised that you will embark on an exciting adventure in a world as lush as it is generous.

Divine Knockout (PS4/PS5)

Finally, we focus on Divine knockout, a last-minute surprise that is nothing more than Super Smash Bros. as MultiVersus. However, unlike the latter, Divine Knockout is not a 2D game, but a title that is played in the third person and offers 3D arenas. Anyway, the point of this multiplayer production is there: you have to send your opponents roaming off the platform with a well-placed Tatan.

About the new PlayStation Plus:

What is PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus is the subscription format for PS4 and PS5. With different offerings, you can enjoy hundreds of PlayStation titles, a catalog of older games ranging from PS1 to PS3, and even streaming play, depending on your subscription level.

What are the PS Plus 3 deals?

PlayStation Plus consists of three levels: Basic (€8.99 per month), Extra (€13.99 per month) and Premium (€16.99 per month). The former offers the same benefits as the old PS Plus (online play, saves to the cloud, games included every month, and exclusive sales via the PlayStation Store). The second also benefits from a catalog of around 400 PS4 titles | PS5. And the third adds in addition to old programs (PSP, PS1, PS2, PSP), remote reading of a selection of games thanks to live broadcasts and – this is important – demos for testing a bunch of blockbusters.

Who can benefit from free PlayStation Plus games?

Depending on your subscription, you will not be able to access the same games. With PlayStation Plus Essential, you’re entitled to the PS Plus collection (only on PS5) and titles offered each month. With Extra, you can access the PS4 | PS5 from about 400 apps. And with Premium, you’ll get nearly 340 older games, streaming PS3 titles and demos.
